November 2, 1916
My Dearest Virginia,

Writing this letter to you is a great quarrel to me, as I no longer shake finish off 5 fingers on my right hand. Just a few weeks past I contracted a deadly skin infection and 3 of my fingers and 4 of my toes had to be amputated or I would have died a painful death. The conditions here in the trenches are fetch tougher and tougher as the cold winter is approaching. The rats and lice have also plump worse of a problem and I am unendingly itching. I am currently on the front situation and the smell of rotting flesh is unbearable, there are corpses of our make men and also those of the enemy lying not 30 feet from our trench but it is far too dangerous to go and retrieve them. Many are starting to die of fevers, disease and the privation of food and I myself am not even convinced(predicate) if I will be able to make it finished this winter as I hear it will be the coldest and wettest one yet. I think I had better sire the solemn task of writing my will estimable as a precaution. I am mostly living off stale biscuits and it has been a while since I have had center and fresh fruit.

He knew if he were injured there would be no choice but to send him home, and that they did. There...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Orderessay
