One of Scott footnotes most far-famed actions upon taking the position of governor in Wisconsin was his choice to lapse a rightfulness that took away nearly all incorporated bargaining rights for more workers. Collective bargaining consists of the employees negotiating with the employer to de terminationine the conditions of employment. On the fourteenth of September, 2012, Dane County judge Juan Colas ruled that the fairness violated the state and U.S. Constitution. This law was therefore struck down, which Walker then reacted by vowing to appeal. Although unions feel that they have won this battle, Walker can keep the law in effect until the item is completely resolved and agreements have been made. The judge entangle that because the law passed by Walker took away collective bargaining rights from most, unless not all workers, it was violating the equal protection clause by distinguishing between two classes of workers based on whether or not they still had the right to collectively bargain with their employer. The groups of people that were negatively affected by Walkers law include teachers, city government employees, and county government employees.



Those that were not affected by the law included police officers and firefighters.
Walkers originator for passing this law over a year past was that the changes the law would make would help the state and local governments to make unnecessary money at a time when Wisconsin faced a $3 million dollar shortfall. He also felt it reinstated the lawmaking responsibilities of the legislature and the governor (Walker, 2).
